(Early Years)
Born into a high ranking family in the Republic of Landis she lived a seemingly normal life. At an early age Garlemald invaded her homeland, killing her family and causing her to flee to the outskirts of the land. Though life was tough for a while she eventually found herself in the Holy See where her lineage was found out and she was quickly conscripted into the service of the Ishgardian Orthodox Church where in the later years she would become a Holy Knight of the Fury.
(Pre-Calamity)
Though she didn't belong to any of the twelve houses she remained as her own entity amongst the nobles for some time within the walls of Ishgard. Most of her missions were very much behind the scenes and often done behind the back of the Temple Knights themselves. As time went on many folks thought her as an emissary of The Fury herself. Her dragoon armor designed uniquely to represent that too.
Though she never married she came to own a large home of her own and adopt two sons. One believed to be the bastard son of one of the noble houses (Alivior) and an abandoned AuRa child found during one of her missions (Reslam).
(Post Calamity - Stormblood)
Shortly after the events of the 7th Calamity she was sent on a mission to Dusk Vigil. The details of that mission were to investigate the whereabouts of the missing garrison and to find her son (Alivior) who was amongst them during the time the calamity struck. Upon her arrival she found all of the garrison slaughtered. Her son was possessed by an unknown voidsent and had killed them all. It pained her to do so but she fought her son with all her strength. Though Alivior was defeated; Stygian was also seriously injured in the fight. The voidsent desprate to live tore into Stygians body and found itself a new home, inside of her. Though bleeding out and nearly on deaths door herself she had a vision whist laying under the broken statue of Halone in the depths of the Vigil. The Fury would put the monster inside of her into a state of dormancy so long as she did as The Fury commanded whenever/wherever. Desprate to live and already an ever devoted follower she accepted. Little did she know the sort of life The Fury would bring upon her in the following years.
